Italian confectioner Ferrero has won a case against the supermarket chain Delhaize. The case is a couple of years old now. Delhaize started an ad campaign for their own chocolate spread with the slogan that it´s more healthy and better for the environment because it is made without palm oil. Ferrero claimed Delhaize was lying about the environmental consequences and the nutritional value of chocolate spread with or without palm oil. At the end of 2015 the Brussels commercial court ruled in favour of Delhaize, but the court of appeals has now turned the decision back. The court said Delhaize issued several illegal statements about the environment and health, as they are unverifiable and subjective.
