The chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli, Kilchberg/Switzerland has published their 13th annual sustainability report. Main facts are:
- Share of cocoa sourced through sustainable programs increased to 67%
- Companies expansion of responsible sourcing standards to additional raw materials
- Climate targets submitted to the Science Based Targets initiative
Lindt & Sprüngli concludes that 112,000 farmers in seven countries benefit from their farming program through training, investment in infrastructure and biodiversity. The company also took another step forward on their responsible sourcing roadmap. Until 2025 Lindt & Sprüngli wants to reach at least 80 % of responsible sourced raw materials including packaging.
