Natra, a multinational producer of chocolate and cocoa products, has presented its new line of healthier products, Better for you, which includes organic products, less sugar, no palm oil and lots of nuts.
The company, a reference multinational within Europe in the production of cocoa-derivatives and chocolate products, with particular focus on chocolate products for the distribution brands (private label) and other food companies, presented its new product portfolio at ISM, the world’s leading trade fair for sweets and snacks in the world, held in Cologne (Germany) on 28-31 January. The fair was visited by over 37,500 specialists and the TOP 20 food distributors worldwide, who were represented by strong teams of buyers.
In the words of Anja Berger, Retail North Europe Director, “The ISM marks the beginning of the year in the confectionery world where present the current market trends of all categories as an overarching concept. To summarize, customers were very satisfied with our innovations, which fully lived up to their expectations as we matched the market requirements”.
Natra’s innovations for 2018 answers to the latest consumer trends: healthy, sustainable organic products with less sugar, no palm oil and lots of nuts; convenience products, ready to eat and more practical; and premium products targeting gourmet consumers.
The new line of healthier products, Better for you, offers four product ranges. Organic range is one of the innovation lines and was presented in different formats: tablets, countlines, spreads and mini chocolates. These products are targeted at markets in which there is a growing move towards organic products, in both Europe and the United States.
Better for you also offers another range of no added sugar and reduced sugar chocolates and spreads; and a new range of products not containing palm oil: tablets, countlines and spreads.
The fourth range in Better for you family is lots of nuts range (chocolates and spreads with more nuts), in great demand in markets such as the USA and European markets.
The new launchings in 2018 will also focus on convenience and on-the-go products, including bite-size snacks, individual portions of cocoa spread and dipping sticks to eat anywhere, anytime; and a new range of premium products, especially Belgian chocolates and truffles, with special packaging and new recipes, such as truffles with champagne, gin or prosecco fillings.
